Tristan laboratory SQUID systems (pdf) are extremely sensitive instruments designed to detect small electromagnetic signals. By combining SQUID electronics with various special purpose probes and auxiliary electronics, laboratory systems having a variety of capabilities are made available, providing the ability to measure properties such as:

Model BMS Basic Measuring Systems
The Model BMS-H is a HTS SQUID system capable of measuring magnetic fields smaller than 100 fT (100 x 10-15 Tesla). Typically, this system is used in conjunction with a NLD series dewar.
The Model BMS-L is a LTS SQUID system capable of measuring small electric currents with a noise level less than 10-12 A/√Hz. With a simple pickup coil, it also can be used for the detection of magnetic fields as small as 1 fT.
Model MFP Multi-Function Probe System
In addition to measurements possible with the PMS system, this system provides a low impedance ac bridge system for extremely sensitive resistance and inductance measurements. Resolutions of 10-10 Ohm and 10-13 Henry were obtained. The Model MFPallows a wide range of both ac and DC measurements to resolutions approaching 0.001% on single or multiple samples.
Model PMS Picovolt Measurement System
In addition to measurements possible with the BMS system, this system provides a cryogenic DC voltage amplifier with a gain of 108 and a rms noise of less than 10-13 V/√Hz. It is used for measurements of very small voltages and resistances.
iMAG® Laboratory SQUID Systems
Each system comprises: (1) dc SQUID Electronics; (2) Cryogenic Cable/Probe of standard length (1.5 meters); (3) either LTS or HTS dc SQUID sensor; (4) listed ancillary equipment including Model CC-6 six meter fiber-optic composite connecting cable, accessory package and user manual.
